Part of our mission at Birchwood Park is to be a sustainable organisation. Across the Park we have created an excellent, wholesome environment for our very own bees and hives by actively promoting biodiversity and encouraging pollination within the area.
Following the hard work our team have been doing, we are delighted that the Department for Environment and Rural Affairs have recognised our efforts and awarded us a Champions Award for 2023.
The awards recognise and celebrate examples of exemplary initiatives undertaken by local authorities, community groups, farmers and businesses to support pollinators. Now our hives are well established and a talking point for our occupiers and visitors!
This Thursday, why not come down to the EngineRooms and harvest your own pot of Birchwood Park honey from 12pm – all proceeds are donated to Walton Lea Partnership.
