Tips to make your garden spring from our Landscaping Team

It’s now officially Spring, and our landscaping team have put together a list of their top tips for keeping your garden looking amazing, ready for the coming months.

  • Begin mowing lawns – set mower at a high cut, tidy edges with a half-moon edger and edging shears.
  • Feed and mulch all woody and herbaceous perennial plants, as the soil starts to warm up.
  • After they flower, prune spring-flowering shrubs and climbers. Also prune late summer-flowering plants.
  • Divide clump-forming perennials, bamboos, ferns and grasses.
  • Trim established evergreen hedges (such as conifers or privet) in late spring, if needed.
  • Put in place support for perennial and biennials that they will need during growth, to protect from heavy winds and rain.

If you follow these simple guidelines, your garden is sure to flourish!
