Thanks to everyone who donated to our food collection in December for local charity Warrington Open Door At Christmas (WODAC). Based at St John’s Church, on Wilderspool Causeway the group relies entirely on the generosity of donations from the public to help provide a hot meal or drink over Christmas for Warrington’s homeless and lonely.
As well as helping many homeless people, or those without long-term housing, WODAC also helps others who be on their own over Christmas including many pensioners and people without family in the area.
WODAC was open from Christmas Day to New Year’s Day, from 9.30am to 4pm and served around 65 three-course meals each day – thank you again for all the donations it really did make a difference.
We will be collecting for WODAC again this year, if you or your company would like to get involved either for collections or volunteering please get in touch at suzanne.whitelaw@patrizia.ag
