The team from Barratt and David Wilson Homes North West get on their bikes for Alder Hey

Staff from Barratt and David Wilson Homes North West completed a charity cycle last week spanning 100 miles throughout Merseyside, Cheshire and Lancashire to raise money for Alder Hey Children’s Charity. The cyclists began their route at the homebuilder’s Warrington head office, before heading to Preston, Kew, Southport, Alder Hey Hospital and then they returned to the finish line at their head office. The gruelling challenge is a follow up from the homebuilder’s previous cycle ride in July which raised over £5,000 for the charity, set up to raise vital funds for Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, which treats 330,000 patients each year.

The charity helps to fund a range of activities and projects designed to enhance and improve the lives of its patients, including funding specialist medical equipment, hi-tech distraction equipment as well as special projects such as musicians, magicians and play specialists on all wards. The participants said Alder Hey is an incredible cause which is close to our hearts in the North West region, and we are happy that as a company we can challenge ourselves like this in order to raise money for the valuable work they do.”
