Chester Business Group was set up in 1986 by six local businessmen, who set about promoting not only their own lines of work, but also to promote the City of Chester itself. It currently has nearly 200 members, and supports 9 charities, one of which is Adoption Matters.
In 1987, the Chester Business Group did their first Charity Walk, which has been repeated annually ever since. It’s an opportunity for local businesses and their families (and their dogs!) to come together for a fun day of walking, with the aim of being sponsored to raise as much money as possible to support their nominated charities. The 2023 walk will take place on September 17th, and Adoption Matters will be be taking part, raising awareness around adoption, and obtaining sponsorship to help boost Chester Business Group’s overall total.
Adoption Matters relies heavily on donated funds, in order to provide ongoing support to our adoptive families, birth families, and offer a bespoke therapeutic pathway for children that have experienced trauma.
