RSPCA Donation Station: Building Manager Nicola finds out more about RSPCA Warrington
26/05/2023
Our building manager Nicola Rushby recently spent some time volunteering at the RSPCA animal centre in Warrington, to find out about the good work they do.
Nicola said:
“I chose to help out in the cattery as I absolutely love cats. I spent time with all the cats – fussing them, playing, some of them just wanted cuddles! I also helped with feeding them. Some cats are on special diets, and others have strict portion sizes to manage their weight.
“This time interacting with the cats is really important to help socialise them and prepare them for adoption to their forever homes. Depending on the reason for them ending up at the cattery, the cats might be nervous and need to learn to trust people and feel comfortable around them. Having daily contact with staff and volunteers at the centre really helps to build their confidence.”
We are currently collecting supplies for the RSPCA Warrington, Halton and St. Helens branch, if you are able to give anything they would very much appreciate donations of food, treats, toys and anything else you think that our four legged friends may enjoy.
