Risley Moss Action - Volunteers Needed

Risley Moss is now managed by Warrington Borough Council and their rangers, working with Natural England, take good care of this valuable asset and with the assistance of RIMAG.

Risley Moss Action Group is a charitable trust run by volunteers and was instrumental in preventing the closure. We are still involved in supporting the ranger service and helping enhance the experience that visitors to the Moss enjoy. Essentially the group exists to represent the people who benefit from the nature reserve, be they locals or visitors, residents or businesses.

On Sunday 12th March we are having our final workday of the winter season. We meet at the Visitor Centre at 10am. Tools will be provided, but bring your own lunch & drinks. Robust clothing and sensible footwear (boots or wellies ideally with toe protection) are essential. We usually work through to 2pm or 3pm depending on how tired we get.

We’re here to help but we also appreciate the help that’s given to us by people who understand just what an important part of the environment Risley Moss is for wildlife and the population as a whole.

For more information about workdays and events to support the rangers find us on our webpage at www.rimag.org.uk or for more uptodate events and news follow us on Facebook at Risley Moss Action Group.
