Warrington Borough Council will be holding public consultations for the next phase of road improvement projects in Birchwood.
The April Executive Board approved the funding package for the Warrington East phase 2 project and the appointment of Balfour Beatty as the principal contractor. The works are scheduled to start in July this year and will be completed in December 2019. In addition, we are working on the Warrington East phase 3 project which is the dualling of Birchwood Way between the Moss Gate junction and J11 of the M62. There will be a separate report on this project to Executive Board later in the year.
To inform local people of these two projects a stakeholder engagement exercise has been organised and this consists of the following activities:
Public Exhibitions attended by members of the project team to explain the works on this scheme. These are being held on the following dates:
- Tuesday 15 May, 12noon – 2pm: The Centre, Birchwood Park
- Wednesday 16 May, 12noon – 8pm: Birchwood Shopping Centre, outside Asda
- Thursday 17 May, 12noon – 6pm: Padgate Library, Insall Road
- Saturday 19 May, 10am – 3pm: Birchwood Shopping Centre, outside Asda
- Tuesday 22 May, 12noon – 2pm: The Centre, Birchwood Park
