Pirates of the Caribbean is Back!

Birchwood Park has a long association with pirates due to its proximity to the river Mersey. Life was tough in the Caribbean and risky. So after a hard season’s privateering, pirates from the North West used to return home for some recreation and rest.

Back by popular demand, The Garden Restaurant will be serving a special menu on Thursday 14th June:

A traditional local delicacy beloved of hungry pirates

Long John Silver
A spicy locally produced sausage in a bread longboat, lashed with chilli gravy and pickled vegetables

Captain Morgan’s Ribs
Baby back ribs cooked in a rum marinade, glazed with sticky sauce served with mashed sweet potato, sunflower tossed courgettes

Caribbean Pirate Cake
Sumptuous sponge soaked with fruits and liquor

Pirates Pan at Chadwick Courtyard will be offering:

Jerk chicken and Jamaican coleslaw
“Hoppin’ Jack” (black eyed peas & rice with bacon)

Pirates Live Lunch
Joao our international pirate will be singing for you in The Café.
…Hush! Please because he’s on the run.
