Members and volunteers from the South Lancs branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) are holding a pop-up stall at The Hub in The Centre.
The stall will provide information about MND, a fatal rapidly progressing disease that affects the brain and spinal cord by attacking the nerves that control movement so muscles no longer work.
It kills a third of people within a year and more than half within two years of diagnosis.
Volunteers will be on hand at the stall on Tuesday from 12pm until 2pm.
There will also be a free MND awareness movie night on global MND awareness day next Thursday, June 21, from 5.30pm onwards.
Guests can enjoy a free beer or glass of wine and even free popcorn and cinema snacks for the film.
