Once a month chaplains will be offering mindful activities at the Engine Rooms from 12.30pm – 1.30pm, next session Monday 22nd November.
Please feel free to join us for as long or as little as you wish, we’ll have a variety of activities available to help you to take a little ‘me’ time. It’s surprising how relaxing a little crafting can be, giving your mind time to focus on something other than day to day work or life issues.
Have you tried your hand at card making or mindful colouring yet? What about crochet? Did you know that you can crochet a coaster to take home with you in about twenty minutes if the mood takes you, or maybe make a card for someone you want to share some love with.
Even if you’d just like to sit and chat / watch others doing the crafting, you are very welcome to join us. Hope to see you on the 22nd.
We’ll have a couple of chaplains around to help with getting you started on the different craft opportunities or just to sit and chat. We’re always led by you, no agenda, no judgement, just present and available in the moment.
If you don’t manage to catch up with one of us in person, as always you can contact us via email on firstname.lastname@example.org where you can request a call-back, or you are very welcome to call me directly on my mobile: 07526 378529 either to chat or to arrange a time to meet with one of the chaplains.
We also have a range of resources on our web-site including some that are more specific to the Covid-19 outbreak and some that help in dealing with stress: https://mite.org.uk
