Due to a bridge maintenance scheme taking place on the M6 J22 bridges, the travel between Junctions 21a and 23 will be affected for approximately 6 months.
Works are scheduled to start on or after 3rd October 2016. This will be carried out during daytime hours (07:30 to 17:00) in a number of phases Monday to Friday.
In order to facilitate and carry out these works safely, narrow lanes and a reduced speed limit will be in place throughout the works. Also, a number of total closures will be in place on the M6 between Junctions 21a and 23 on 10th and 11th October, between the hours of 20:00 and 05:00, subject to traffic flow.
Additional closures will be required in December/January and at the end of the project.
Localised signed diversion routes will be in place.
Apologies for any inconvenience these works may cause you. If you wish to discuss this project further or have any questions, please contact the 24hr Highways England Customer Care team on 0300 123 5000 or email info@highwaysengland.co.uk
