It has been an eventful summer at the EngineRooms at Birchwood Park and many firms across the local Business Community have been making the most of the great facilities and event support that it has to offer.
This August, Jacobs, based at Bridgewater Place, held a barbeque to thank their staff based in the Warrington area for their efforts over recent months on a number of successful projects. Jacobs is a global organisation providing technical professional services for a more connected, sustainable world.
Jacobs has developed from being a traditional engineering and construction provider into a team of multidisciplinary specialists, a provider of anything from traditional civil engineering specialists, to economists, to urban designers, to aquatic ecologists – a huge spectrum of staff and capability.
Over 50 staff attended this summer event and were able to make best use of the outdoor seating around the lake and the soft furnishings under cover. The barbeque was provided by the EngineRooms and included a wide variety of local produce, including pork sausage and BBQ chicken freshly cooked in an on-site rotisserie.
Further barbeque favourites included beef burgers, vegetarian pizza straight from the pizza oven, mixed salad, coleslaw, with a selection of sauces and relishes.
