Join the nation on Friday 29th April to take a stand for improved office wellness and productivity by getting on your feet.
A recent survey has shown that 45% of women and 37% of men spend less than 30 minutes a day up on their feet at work.
Being active throughout the working day can help lower your risk of multiple health risks and helps you feel more relaxed and have more energy.
Be as creative as you like, the important thing is to break up or reduce your sitting time – so stand up, sit less and move more throughout the day.
What can you do differently?
- Make phone calls standing up
- Have standing or walking meetings
- Have lunch away from your desk
- Use the stairs rather than the lift
- Take regular breaks from your computer, stand up, stretch and walk around the office
- Walk to work, or get off a few stops earlier and walk the rest of the way
Join us for a lunchtime walk around Birchwood Park – meet at 12.30 in Chadwick House reception, or if you are feeling a bit more energetic come on a group run, leaving Chadwick House reception at 12.15pm.
For either of these events please register with travel@birchwoodpark.co.uk so we have an idea of numbers.
