Fundraising Support from Tenet Consulting

The team at Tenet have been busy helping to raise funds in memory of a loved family member despite lockdown restrictions.

Employees came together virtually to take part in a 4.9K challenge to remember the sister of Kate McDermott who sadly passed away from terminal cancer in March.

To celebrate what would have been her 49th birthday, the team ran, walked and cycled their way to the 4.9K mark to help raise money for Cancer Research and the Halton Haven Hospice.

MD Mike Thirsk completed the distance with his spaniel Ruby despite having both knees replaced in November!

Kate said:
“My sister was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2017 at the age of 46. Obviously not something we ever expected. Last year I embarked on a year of fund raising with her support and we managed to raise £1600 for the Lilac Centre. I had donations from suppliers, clients and all my colleagues in the office and in 401.

“It was an amazing 12 months. Unfortunately my sister passed away on the 8th March this year, just before the world went mad. Tenet were really supportive of me all through this time and especially in the last few months. I couldn’t wish for a better employer.

“In these strange times, having that support is just like having extended family!”
