Salut! I can now confirm the following regarding the new French classes here on the Park – thank you to Graham Poulton for organising everything and getting the sessions up and running!
We will be having weekly classes on Thursday evenings, from 17:30-19:00 here on Birchwood Park. There will be a native, french speaking tutor at all of the sessions. We are planning for the classes to start on Thursday 4th February.
As we have a tutor, there is a cost. We have tried to keep this as low as possible by shopping around, and the cost will vary based on how many people attend each group.
The basic price will be £10 per person, per session. However the tutor has asked that we pay in advance in 8 week blocks; so £80 per person for 8 weeks. This is the maximum that any one will have to pay, and assumes a minimum of 5 people attending per session. The classes will be capped at 10 people, on a first come, first serve basis, and if we get more then 5 at any session, a rebate will be calculated, and will be taken off your next block of classes. This could potentially mean the classes cost just £6, or £48 for 8 weeks!
There is now a Facebook group set up, to coordinate future discussions. The name of the group and web link are below:

The classes will have an element of grammer, but mainly focus speaking using conversation and games. All suggestions for the future are very welcome.
