Alex Boardman

Early in 2008 Alex Boardman was nominated in the Rising Star category at the Sony Awards for his work on the Galaxy FM breakfast show. That show achieved record figures for any show in the station’s ten year history, however a change of ownership led Alex to return full time to his first love; stand up comedy. 2007 saw Alex’s first solo stand up tour entitled “Hit The North” (after a favourite song by The Fall) at a number of arts centres around the UK. The tour was a mixture of stand up and improvisation and gained good critical reviews.

Alex has also performed at numerous comedy festivals around the UK and has performed two one hour shows, the first one entitled “Nappy Mondays” that charted his transition from “Lad to Dad”, and the second entitled “Everyone thinks he looks daft” (after another favourite song by The Wedding Present). Again both were received well critically. And no, he is no relation to Stan Boardman.

Brennan Reece

As seen on Live At The Apollo (BBC), Celeb Coach Trip (E4) and Roast Battle (Comedy Central). Brennan is a multi award winning working class wordsmith (Edinburgh Best Newcomer Nominee and English Comedian Of The Year Winner) . A stand-up, a storyteller and self confessed mummy’s boy. His boyish cheeks recently cropped up on Survival Of The Fittest (ITV), The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV) Live At The Comedy Store (Comedy Central) and racking up over 6 million YouTube hits for his stint on Top Gear (BBC). A true Northern voice, with family close to his heart. Your Mum is going to love him! Not like that, you dirty little perve. “A powerfully entertaining, unstoppable force” (Chortle) “A teenage Alan Bennett” (The Skinny) “Absolutely incredible” (Phoebe Waller Bridge) “Beautiful, raucous and touching” (The Independent) ***** (The Voice), ***** (Define Arts), ***** (Reviews Hub), ***** (Chortle), ***** (Uber)

Jules O’Brian

Jules O’Brian first took to the stage in 2017, at The Comedy Loft, in Birmingham, as part of a night for charity. A keen fan of Rik Mayall, French and Saunders, Victoria Wood, and Joan Rivers, as well as Katherine Ryan, Tim Minchin, Amy Schumer, and the Brum-based Luisa Omielan, Jules states her stand-up style is “Butter wouldn’t melt meets Is That All There Is?” (a reference to the dark song made famous by singer Peggy Lee).

An English Tutor, Jules currently lives in Tamworth, Staffordshire, and performed a sell-out ‘triple-header’ with pals Tal Davis and Hannah Weetman during 2021’s Birmingham Comedy Festival.

Jules O’Brian was shortlisted for Funny Women 2021, and performs at venues and festivals around the country, telling anyone who will listen about ageing disgracefully, body hang-ups, parenting, and dating.

She is TalkTalk’s official voice – chosen by none other than the legend Bernard Cribbins – and her silly writings feature frequently in magazines including Prima and MamaLife. This former teacher’s relaxed and chatty style, crowd interaction and warmth, all served with a sardonic wit, make her a natural crowd pleaser.

Simon Wozniak

Since starting stand-up in 2014, Liverpool comic Simon has gone on to quickly establish himself as the one to watch with his honest, inimitable, no holds barred opinions on the world.

Simon’s frenetic and opinionated style has seen him rise phenomenally through the ranks and he can now be seen performing regularly at some of the biggest and best comedy clubs in the country.

Hotly tipped by the industry as a future star. Cheerfully self-deprecating, Simon is confident with joke structure and can use his skills to present unpredictable punchlines which take the wind out of his audience!
