Christmas Toy Appeal

Help spread some cheer to a little boy or girl by donating a Christmas gift or selection box to our chosen charities. This year’s Toy Appeal will be in aid of Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice.

We are really sorry but there are some gifts that we regret we can’t accept due to infection control, health and safety. We have put together a list to help if you would like to donate. Thank you for considering a donation we really appreciate your help!

For babies

  • Musical toys
  • Sensory toys
  • Rattles
  • Soft books

Young children

  • DVDs – We can only accept U, PG or 12 rating
  • Arts and Crafts sets
  • Board games
  • Jigsaws
  • Plastic toys – Must be brand new and still in their packaging
  • Themed toys – e.g. Paw Patrol, Fingerlings, Hatchimals, Pokemon, Nella the Princess Knight
  • Selection boxes

Teenagers

  • DVDs – We can only accept U, PG or 12 rating
  • Arts and Crafts sets
  • Books/Comics
  • Journals, notebooks, stationery
  • MP3 Players
  • Games consoles/Games gadgets – U, PG or 12 rating
  • Selection boxes

Our patients are aged 0 to 16 and we often need extra gifts for teenagers, who take as much pleasure in a gift as a younger patient.

Gifts we can’t accept

  • Videos – We no longer have the facilities to play videos
  • Second hand toys
  • Clothes
  • Soft toys
  • Large toys
  • Food items without ingredient list

Please note all toys must be new and British Kite Marked.

Please bring any toy donations to the Receptions at Chadwick House, 401 Faraday Street, Bridgewater Place and The Centre.
