Cavendish Nuclear has actively participated in International Women in Engineering Day (IWED) for a number of years and this year is no different.
As a company we continue to be committed to improving gender diversity, not only within Cavendish Nuclear but across the industry as a whole. We were incredibly proud earlier in the year when two of our employees achieved accolades from the Women in Nuclear (WIN) annual awards for their continued support to attract a more diverse rich workforce.
For INWED19, Cavendish Nuclear has a number of initiatives taking place around 23rd June aimed at building awareness of the amazing career opportunities available to women in the nuclear industry.
These include showcasing the range of roles and careers in nuclear through a social media campaign, a number of local activities such as a tour of the Torness Power Station for a class of female students and launching a series of initiatives on the topic of Menopause, aimed at fostering a better understanding of the transition for many of our female employees.
