Be Kind: Lianne’s top tips

It’s now more important than ever to look after our mental health, and help our friends, family and colleagues who may be struggling with lockdown or working from home.

This year’s theme for Mental Health Awareness Week is ‘Kindness’, and our content creator Lianne has been inspired by all your amazing stories of kindness and support, that she has put together some top tips to help spread some kindness.

  1. Send a text to a friend who might be struggling
  2. Tell someone that you are proud of them
  3. Arrange a virtual catch up with someone you know
  4. Send an inspirational quote to a friend
  5. Arrange to watch a film at the same time as a friend and video call
  6. Send a joke to cheer someone up
  7. Call someone you haven’t spoken to in a while
  8. Tell a family member how much you love them
  9. Contact someone you haven’t seen in a while
  10. Send a photo to your family to show what you have been up to

Why not pick three from the list and show your support to someone who might need it this week.

Remember to share your stories of kindness with Lianne so she can help share it with our Birchwood Park community and beyond: ldempsey@birchwoodpark.co.uk
