What a great way to kick off the World Cup than with our first Birchwood Park 5-a-side tournament.
Players from 10 teams battled it out on the green at The Centre to get through to the knock out stages.
The final saw the No Go No team from Aecom score four goals against Blue Whale Media’s one to be crowned the champions.
Semi Final:
No Go No v NNL = 3:1
Dilly Dillies v Blue Whale Media = 0:1
Final:
No Go No v Blue Whale Media = 4:1
Martin O’Rourke, commercial director at Birchwood Park said: “This was a great way to get companies from the Park and the wider Birchwood area together to have a bit of a kick about in the sunshine and to see which company has the best football team in Birchwood. Congratulations to the team from Aecom for beating off 9 other teams to be crowned our Birchwood Park champions. It was a great day, our team is already making plans for next years tournament!”
