Andrea who works at our occupier NWTS in Newton House has published a second book in a series of six which are aimed at 3-7 year olds.
The Book named “Rab loses Sacha” is a talking tool to start off a difficult conversation with a child about dying, loss and grief. Not only does it include the story, it has fact pages and a section to draw feelings.
Andrea says: “My inspiration came from Covid, a lot of children lost grandparents and parents. Not only that, they lost friendships and socialisation time during lockdown too.”
Andrea hopes to get funding for the book to be translated into Ukrainian and reprinted for all the children coming over to the UK. She has also donated a copy of each book to the Birchwood Park Pop Up Library which is located in the Chadwick House Link Corridor.
