Birchwood Park has a long association with pirates due to its proximity to the river Mersey. Life was tough in the Caribbean and risky. So after a hard season’s privateering, pirates from the North West used to return home for some recreation and rest.
Back by popular demand, The Garden Restaurant will be serving a special menu on Thursday 14th June:

A spicy locally produced sausage in a bread longboat, lashed with chilli gravy and pickled vegetables

Baby back ribs cooked in a rum marinade, glazed with sticky sauce served with mashed sweet potato, sunflower tossed courgettes
