The NCC Juniors journey began in 2011 close by at the University of Chester’s Padgate Campus and since then they’ve had hundreds of children join them at their fun ‘GoRide’ cycle coaching sessions.
Under the guidance and encouragement of the club’s British Cycling qualified coaches, young riders have gained the confidence to take their journey wherever their two wheels may take them. Some have even gone on to race (and win) at national level – on and off road – some are now even taking their journey onwards with the British Cycling Talent Coaches.
They’ll be using the large car park areas to the rear of Chadwick House at Birchwood Park on Saturday mornings. They have sessions at 10am for younger riders (age 6+) and 11am for older riders (up to age 16).
This large traffic free space opens up an array of opportunities for the coaches to engage and challenge the riders each week.
So, if you know of any budding young cyclists who love having fun on two wheels* then why not bring them along and join in. All you’ll need is a working bike and a helmet.

* riders must be able to ride without stabilisers to take part in these sessions.
