Hoover sends open invitation for Simon Rimmer charity Cook Along next weekend

Leading domestic appliance manufacturer, Hoover, is aiming to help feed thousands of school children across the UK with the help of British cook and restaurateur, Simon Rimmer.

Simon will be hosting a virtual cook along on Saturday 5th September 2020 at 10am via Zoom and for every person that participates, Hoover will make a donation to Magic Breakfast – a charity which aims to end hunger as a barrier to education in UK schools through the provision of healthy breakfasts to vulnerable children.

Simon will help participants cook Huevos Rancheros, a spicy Mexican breakfast and will be providing step-by-step guidance, from prepping the ingredients to serving the meal.

Partakers can win a prize for getting involved, too, by sharing a picture of their meal on social media*.

Antony Peart, brand and communications director from Hoover, said: “Eating right is very important for someone’s wellbeing and this subject is very close to our hearts here at Hoover.

“We’ve been working with Simon Rimmer for 18 months now and he echoes our views that no child should start the day hungry.

“Magic Breakfast do some fantastic work and we want to collectively do our bit to help them further, especially because breakfast is the most important meal of the day!.

“People seem to have developed a new-found love of cooking during lockdown, so what better way to develop that further than to prepare a delicious breakfast with a famous British chef?!”

Simon Rimmer added: “This dish is absolutely delicious, so I hope people sign up to join in the fun!”

In order to take part, people need to sign up before Saturday 5th September at 10am via this link https://bit.ly/34FqO1l. Ingredients will be provided to participants prior to the event.
