Come along and meet our Volunteer Chaplain – Jane Simmons

Come along and meet our Volunteer Chaplain – Jane Simmons:

“I have been a volunteer chaplain at Birchwood Park since November 2016. Before retiring I taught in several University Business Schools. My interests include travelling, reading, watercolour painting, attending Halle concerts and the theatre. I am usually in the Park on a Monday from 11am to 1pm”

All faiths and none very welcome.

What does a chaplain do?
Our chaplains come alongside people in their place of work, providing a friendly listening ear to people of all faiths and none.

Why chaplaincy?
As an independent presence in the workplace, MitE’s chaplains are ideally placed to provide a confidential and safe space to enable those they meet to flourish in their work lives, their wellbeing and their spirituality.

Our chaplains will never judge or seek to convert. They will be there in good times and bad. They will listen, support and accompany those they meet along the journey of life.
