We are pleased to announce that the commissioning work which took place at the Moss Gate junction on 17th March 2016 was successful and the junction is now fully open to traffic. This means that all arms of the junction are now operating including the dedicated turns out of Daten Avenue and Moss Gate. There will be a period of monitoring to check that the signals are working effectively and there will be a signal validation process in 3 weeks time.
All cones and temporary signals have been removed from site. The temporary speed limit however will remain in force until all landscaping, footpaths and snagging works have been completed which will be for at least another 3-4 weeks. Any such work will only take place between the hours of 9.30 am and 3.30 pm. The Forest path steps and Gorse Covert mound steps will be opened in the next few days once the hand rails have been fitted.
The Faraday Street bus gate is also nearly completed with the new link road now surfaced and marked out. Signs are being installed now and the enforcement cameras will be in place by the end of the month.
Thank you for your patience while this important project was underway.
