The AXIOM Joint Venture (part of the Design Services Alliance that works with Sellafield Limited), recently made great use of the conferencing and catering facilities available at the EngineRooms.
As part of their welfare initiative, AXIOM held a full day Health, Safety and Wellbeing Conference which attracted over 50 participants.
The full day event consisted of a series of presentations sharing knowledge, experience and best practice across the safety, wellbeing, sustainability and mental health spectrum which included presentations on:
- Personal Reflections on Wellbeing
- The Business Case for Sustainability
- A Look at What Leaders can do to Help Manage Wellbeing within their Teams
- Safety Cultural Improvement Programme
- Risk Perception & Managing Risk
- Exploration of the Impact of a Fatality on a Business
- Physical and Mental Wellbeing Tools
The conference also hosted a wide range of stands and activities that gave attendees the opportunity to participate in guided meditation, reiki, massage, reflexology and gain expert advice in sleep therapy.
The smoothie bike challenge also proved popular, where competitors were challenged as to how far they could cycle in a minute whilst blending a smoothie fruit drink.
