Leading charity makes Birchwood Park its home

PATRIZIA UK, the manager of Warrington’s leading business destination, Birchwood Park, has welcomed the UK’s eating disorder charity, Beat, to 401 Faraday Street.

After completing the search for a North West office location, Beat has chosen to move its helpline service from its Norwich head office in order to expand the charity’s national presence.

Beat’s services include a phone and email helpline operating 365 days a year for people who have eating disorders as well as their friends and families, online support groups, the provision of awareness training in schools and workplaces, and a HelpFinder service to help people find treatment in their area.

Caroline Price, Director of Services at Beat, said: “Birchwood Park’s central location was the deciding factor for us when looking for new office space. Here we are in prime position to attract highly skilled staff and potential volunteers from the surrounding area and nearby cities, largely thanks to the park’s excellent transport links.

“Our helpline service is a crucial part of the support we provide, so being able to access the park 365 days a year was really important. The onsite amenities create a lovely working environment too, which will no doubt help us attract and retain the best staff.”

Martin O’Rourke, Commercial Director at Birchwood Park, added: “We are delighted that Beat has chosen to join our community. The unique working environment we have created at Birchwood Park makes it the perfect setting for charities to complete their vital support work. We look forward to seeing Beat go from strength to strength here.”
