In times gone by the 23rd of December was celebrated in some counties of northern England when Eve, the patron Saint of Christmas presents visited households to check that Santa’s order sheet was correct.
As a special treat to mark the occasion, the Garden Restaurant will be serving a special menu on Thursday 22nd December:
Strips of pork tossed in smoked paprika, with carrot and potato mash and grain mustard cream, followed by Eve’s pudding.
