Can you donate an old computer?

The Warrington YMCA are looking for companies to donate any old or unwanted computers – can you help?

The YMCA in Warrington is being threatened with closure due to the Council reducing it’s funding. It’s an institution that has been in place for 160 years and helps some of the most vulnerable people in the community. They are making numerous grant applications to attempt to remain open but they are making a plea for computer equipment. I wonder if any company on Birchwood Park could make a small contribution to provide a big change.

The YMCA Centre Manager, Susan Blyth: “We are here to make a difference and want to ensure we can keep doing what we do. We are also in need of three computers in good order, which we could wipe clean. If anyone, or a business, can help with that it would be brilliant.

“The computers here are exhausted, we have had them for 15 years. Many people job search on them and it helps people keep in touch with others so they are a key tool.”

If any company is willing to provide computer equipment or financial donation to assist the YMCA, please contact Susan Blyth at warringtonymca@btconnect.com
