Birchwood Park announces 2016 charities

We are delighted to announce that the Birchwood Park staff has selected its two chosen charities to support over the next 12 months: Macmillan Cancer Support and the fantastic local charity, Children’s Adventure Farm Trust.

Macmillan Cancer Support is committed to giving cancer patients the help, energy and inspiration they need at all stages of cancer, from diagnosis right through to coping after treatment. A dedicated charity, they work hard to ensure no one fights cancer alone, with the ambition to reach and improve the lives of everyone living with cancer.

Children’s Adventure Farm Trust is a place for children who have faced terrible hardships to simply be children again. The farm supports children with terminal illness, victims of abuse and those who act as carers for their families, working incredibly hard to provide an escape for these children and help them to achieve their goals.

The fund raising activities we have planned will raise awareness of both charities and make a real difference to the people who depend on them.

Martin O’Rourke, Commercial Director at Birchwood Park, said, “After a long discussion, we are pleased to announce that Macmillan Cancer Support and Children’s Adventure Farm Trust are this year’s chosen charities. We have an excellent network of businesses here at the park and I have no doubt that we will be able to work together to support these charities, which I’m sure are close to many of our hearts.”

Keep an eye out around The Centre, in Fusion and on Parklife for opportunities to support these outstanding charities. We’ve got some great ideas about how we can fundraise around the park, but if you have any suggestions and would like to get involved, please email suzanne.whitelaw@patrizia.ag.
