The team at Hand on Heart Charity are delighted to announce that the awards evening held on Friday 3rd November with main sponsor Physio Control went extremely well.
The Hilton Manchester, Deansgate was this year’s venue. With over 310 guests and a special performance from Park Road Primary School, Sale’s choir singing at the start the evening, every guest amazing stories of bravery, outstanding achievements and heart felt stories that left many of the audience emotionally soon realised that they were in for one amazing night.
The evening also highlighted what fantastic work is being done across the UK by many organisations in creating heart safe environments as well as individuals who have saved lives, and to top it off 15 worthy winners were also announced. Lesley Driver, Building Manager for Birchwood Park scooped the ‘Professional Business of the Year’ award for her work with AED’s and the mapping of them around Birchwood Park.
An amazing evening that had not just children singing, awards presented but also had one young lady speechless after winning an amazing Heart Diamond Pendant. Set in 18ct White Gold that had approximately 0.60ct of round brilliant cut diamonds set into it, retailing at over £1,500, lucky winner Aly won the Diamond Dazzle raffle. Generously donated by Diamond Heaven guests had the opportunity to win this amazing prize for a £20 donation.
In total 101 individual favour boxes with an exquisite chocolate donated by Holdsworths Chocolates raised an amazing £2,020 in just 10 minutes.
The charities next event will be on Friday 2nd February at the Hallmark Hotel, Grappenhall, when the team invite you attend the charities 7th Birthday celebrations with a heart theme.
Tickets will be £25 and include 2 course meal, disco and lots of fun during the evening’s entertainment. Tickets will be available soon.
