The Sundown Festival & Market at The Centre

Thursday 29th September, 12pm – 1.30pm

To honour St. Michaels Day we will be hosting The Sundown Festival & Market to mark the end of the summer and celebrate the harvest.

St. Michaels Day was a special day in the Celtic calendar. Early traditions believe that the festival was started by Lugh to honour his foster-mother Taitiu. The occasion was marked with feasting and horse-riding.

Our Sundown market will feature a selection of stalls selling a variety of fantastic products from local sellers including cheeses and honey pots.

Entertainment includes Amy playing her electric violin and Dave the saxophonist and we may have an escapologist… if we can find him.

The Big Pan or “Mac Pan” will pitch up at the entrance to The Centre offering Scottish Street Food.
The Garden Restaurant will offer Street Food from the Caribbean, Indonesia, Thailand, India, and sunny Wigan.

See you there!
